To build a product to help people discover wine, we would first need to conduct thorough user research to understand the needs and pain points of our target audience. This would involve gathering feedback from wine enthusiasts, casual drinkers, and those who are new to wine. Once we have a solid understanding of our audience, we can begin to design and develop the product. An important aspect of the product would be to provide personalized recommendations based on the user's preferences and past behavior. This could be achieved through machine learning algorithms that analyze the user's wine consumption history and make recommendations based on similar users' preferences. We would also need to consider the user interface and experience when designing the product. It should be intuitive and easy to use for both novice and experienced wine drinkers. Additionally, we could consider incorporating social features to allow users to share their favorite wines and recommendations with friends. In terms of business strategy, we could consider partnering with wineries and wine distributors to offer exclusive discounts and promotions to our users. This would provide an additional revenue stream for the product while also providing added value to our users. Overall, building a product to help people discover wine would require a deep understanding of our target audience, personalized recommendations, an intuitive user interface, and a smart business strategy. As a product manager with Facebook, I have experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful products and believe I could apply that experience to this project.
