If I were the lead PM for a Google product, the top 2-3 things I would do in the next 12 months would be: 1. Understand the product and its users: I would spend the first few weeks understanding the product and its users. This would include talking to the current product team, reviewing user research and feedback, and analyzing performance metrics. By doing this, I would be able to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth. 2. Develop a product roadmap: Once I have a good understanding of the product and its users, I would develop a product roadmap. This would involve setting clear goals and objectives, prioritizing features and enhancements, and creating a timeline for execution. I would work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure that the roadmap is feasible and aligned with the overall product vision. 3. Execute on the roadmap: With a clear roadmap in place, I would focus on executing on it. This would involve working closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure that features and enhancements are delivered on time and meet the needs of our users. I would also continue to monitor performance metrics and user feedback to ensure that we are on track to achieve our goals. Overall, my approach would be to focus on understanding the product and its users, developing a clear roadmap, and executing on it in a collaborative and data-driven way. By doing this, I believe we could build a product that meets the needs of our users and drives growth for the company.
